NEWS & UPDATES
Diane Gorzycki
2:00 PM, October 5
Diane remains in great spirits. Her plans are to get lots of rest over the weekend and she is thankful that it has been easier to sleep than before. Although she has been prescribed some strong painkillers, she has not currently had to take the full dose.
Diane was diagnosed with a very aggressive uterine cancer that was very fast moving. After several tests and procedures, she was notified that the cancer had not progressed into her bones or brain. Although she has cancer throughout her abdomen, this is still good news. This is a condition that is considered available for treatment with a good chance for recovery. She will start her chemotherapy treatment program on Tuesday, October 10.
My impression is that Diane is a little overwhelmed right now. She will probably be in a better place to receive telephone calls after a long weekend of rest. I did pass along to her how many people have expressed so much concern. She is very thankful to everybody.
Diane possesses so many of the qualities that cause so much confusion within the medical community. We all hear doctors say that there is no substitute for a positive attitude and a life full of energy. Considering how Diane Gorzycki can light up a room by simply walking in – she is in good shape. She has been training for this challenge her whole life by just being herself.
I am optimistic that we will soon be hearing doctors make comments about our friend that they just cannot explain how she got better so quickly. We can all smile because we will not be surprised!
Respectfully,
Jon Locke
