A Letter From The Foundation For Music Education's Executive Director
Music Education Supporters -
The Foundation for Music Education (TFME) is very committed to engaging and supporting our music profession in many forms. These include sponsored (CPE) events at our conventions, producing Music Matters - a free pedagogical journal, administrating the MERN mentoring network for Texas, and raising funds for an array of music scholarships. We would ask that you please consider supporting any or all of these activities with a donation of any amount to the foundation. You might even consider starting a music scholarship that could be designated for specific person or school and/or music teaching area. You may name the scholarship and designate a specific person as the endowment manager of the scholarship. You determine the all-important parts of the endowment and then like-minded people could access the website to contribute to your scholarship fund. You may contribute to The Foundation for Music Education by direct check and through pay-pal on our TFME website and designate where your monies should be spent. Remember re-occurring small amounts add up and of course all contributions are tax deductible.

Winter 2010 Music Matters Published
"Music Matters" is an exciting music educational journal produced by The Foundation For Music Education that is provided online, four times per year free of charge to subscribers. The genesis of this digital journal began with the suggestions and ideas from The Foundation For Music Education's Board of Trustees. Additional fine tuning came from The Foundation's Steering Committee of music educators. Content of the journal includes topical and pedagogical articles from prominent music experts, written for practicing teachers of band, choir, orchestra, and other music educators. The journal fulfills one of the goals of The Foundation For Music Education, which is to provide resources for hardworking music educators.
